A Comparative Study on Infants feeding between Maternal Employment and Unemployment in the Early Postpartum


Abstract
The survey was performed on 121 cases of mothers who lives H.P.K. apartment in Taejeon (60 maternal unemployment group and 61 employment group), from July to August, 1990.
The results are as the follows:
1. There was significant difference in feeding method of the postpartum (during 3 months); brease feeding is 56.7 % in unemployment group and 45.9 % in employment group (P < 0.05).
2. There was significant difference in reason for no breast feeding; no enough breast milk is 82.1 % in unemployment group and 48.5 % in employment group (P < 0.05).
3. There was no significant difference in recommendation of breast feeding; no recommend or influenced is 65.0 % in unemployment group and 54.1 % in employment group (P > 0.05).
